SSILC operates as a non-profit registered charitable organization under the governance of a volunteer Board of Directors, of whom at least 51% are persons with disabilities, in keeping with the IL philosophy. Directors are selected from the SSILC membership, and are voted in at the annual general meeting.
Approximately 60% of the SSILC staff are persons with disabilities, who provide peer support based on their personal experiences in disability management in addition to their professional training and expertise.
SSILC has service agreements in place with municipal, provincial and federal governments that support Regina-based programs. Consultation and public education services are available throughout Southern Saskatchewan.
